The heating category has been tipped to see some big changes this year with the likes of Dyson’s Hot and Cool heater paving the way for innovative designs in all types of heaters.
E-Cubo
There are a few new designs in electric heaters that are set to change the way people view this home category in 2012 and the E-Cubo Ceramic Fan Heater is definitely one of them.
The small, lightweight heater is effortlessly portable and is so compact that it will fit almost anywhere. The sleek cube design from award winning Tiller and Tiller, has a modern contemporary air about it, but the real beauty of course, is the amount of heat that this small box can emit. Using an Aleta heating element, the clever designers have managed to squeeze an extra 20% of ceramic surface which can be heated. This extra surface area is directly related to the extra heat that this powerful little heater can give off. To further help the temperature to soar, there is an aluminum fan to help the warm air circulate and in the warmer months this fan can be used alone to cool the room. So at $159 consumers are certainly getting their monies worth.
Lasko
Another forward thinking design of ceramic heaters is the Lasko 755320 Remote Control Ceramic Tower Heater. The Lasko designed to stay rooted to one spot but has the great design feature of oscillation, so separate areas of the room get the same amount of attention from the heater.
The tower heater has different heat settings and safety features but the most popular feature for many people is the touch screen remote control. So now the TV and the heat can be controlled from the remote holder in the house.
Stadler Form Anna Heater
The Anna Heater uses a ceramic heating element to warm the air. The small design is very simple and elegant in style in white. Manufacturers of the Anna Heater have been able to assure consumers that the heater will always stay like this as the heater will never turn the white paint to a yellowish colour like others do.
This news, as well as the overall design and functionality of the Anna heater certainly impressed the panel at the Houseware Design Awards Gala in January where it picked up first prize for “Best of the Best 2012”.
